Storms and tempests are one of the most recurrent themes in the imagination of Romanticism and a phenomenon that holds great symbolism in many cultures, such as the myth of the creator storm, the tangible expression of the anger of the gods, or the foam like fertility. Storms in art are commonly associated with the human heart, the seat of the passions, so sometimes crossing over their troubled waters is synonymous with learning to master and overcome them. The Tempests series, which continue the line of research being conducted by Maselli on the artificial composition of natural elements, it´s formed of images of waves, that, caused by fierce winds, crashing with force, generating apocalyptic visions, where you can feel the full force of nature through the power of the elements.
