Tat Tvam Asi is a balinese word that made me understand where the magic of the island comes from. People have this rule, which is more like a philosophy: you are what you do, give what you'd like to receive.

I spent some months traveling around Bali, trying to find something huge, like the meaning of my life. I'm not the only one with this "eat, pray and love" syndrome.

Often I felt disappointed 'cause I was not finding it.

At one point, I was traveling by bike and having a conversation with the balinese driver: he said that he has read that in other parts of the world something called "discrimination" existed. But in Bali there's this word, "tat tvam asi", that is basis of their philosophy: you are what you do, give what you'd like to receive.

I understood many things after that. You can really see the kindness through people's eyes. Bali has the most welcoming people I've ever seen. This island is like a fantasy: how would the world look like if we were all guided by this rule?
