Sweetie & Hansom

How do you come together as a family when tragedy strikes and you don't know how to be a family? That is the question this work addresses. The cover was blown off the secrets and fears my parents harbored for the thirty five years of my brother's adulthood, until he died of an accidental overdose at age fifty-four. It is a story about facade and pleasure and the truth and reality of pain and suffering; of the ugliness of the drug and addiction pandemic, and the decline of the family, core and extended for support, as families emigrated away from their home turfs to seek something better. It is about knowing and not knowing, promise, failure and

loss.
