Swallow A Little Bit!

I made close-up photographs of sugary and sticky messes.

The work consists of recent still life photographs, printed on backlit transparencies to enhanced saturation and brightness. Thematically, they present my focus on consumerism, consumption, and capitalism and represent the push and pull in theories of aesthetics. I am particularly interested in how these activities regulate social control. Because of this, I want the images to draw the viewer in, without any thought, like flies with honey.
