SELF PORTRAITS - A DOCUMENTATION OF AN INNER SELF

An ongoing series that represents what I feel and my being at that moment.

The idea of self portraiture has such such varied outputs. For me it has been the capture of what I feel and my being at that moment, in all its abstraction. In it's light and in it's darkness.  A few years ago I got diagnosed with peripheral artery disease (PAD). What that largely means is lesser blood flow to the limbs due to blood circulatory issues.  It affected my relation with with my body. It brought along with it bouts of insomnia, and really cold feet that hampers my basic functioning.  It has become a strong entity of my being. Every now and then I document it as a reminder of the fragility of my being and a certain acceptance of it.  Life will work within it's bounds, what I can do is document it.
