In the rural interior of Paraná, Brazil, the night hides what the day no longer celebrates. Horses graze under sodium lamps. A donkey, whose population has collapsed by over 70% in Brazil in three decades, stares back at the camera. These are not dramatic images. They are quiet ones. About animals that were essential and became invisible. About a way of life disappearing without announcement.
