I create screenshots from videos of families I don't know. I find these recordings on VHS tapes that I buy in different markets. They turn out to be an unnecessary commodity sold at low prices.
One day I started watching one of the videos and felt attracted to it. In this kind of viewing, I make up for the family look that I missed as a child.
Using my photography skills, I stop the shots, following the principle of punctum.

Working with negatives and photographs from the middle of the 20th century is becoming increasingly popular. However, unlike old photographs, which can be well preserved, archives on videotapes are subject to rapid wear. Most of the recordings of this time are stored on cassettes, so it is important to start working with them now.
The lifetime of a recording on a cassette is about 30 years. This means that soon this valuable archive may be lost forever.
My first major project, which I am submitting for a grant, is related to this issue. Previously, my work did not require significant investments, but this project requires more serious costs. The bulk of the budget will be spent on the purchase of cassettes and old equipment, which also needs regular replacement.
I plan to spend about 1,000 euros. With these funds, I will be able to purchase about 300 cassettes, which will allow me to get about 30-40 images similar to those I already have. Processing of this material will take about six months.
