Plastic relics

This project stems from a reflection on climate change and the impact of human activity on the environment. The iteration aims to highlights the material dimension of consumer and discarded objects, using a visual representation.

I approached the project with an anthropological perspective, treating waste not merely pollution, but as material artifacts, traces of contemporary culture shaped by consumption, excess and neglect. I collected both plastic and metal-debris from the beach, selecting them based on shape, color and degree of deterioration. I used an optical bench with digital back.

My intent is to give visual dignity to with is usually overlooked: wast as art, protest and documentation.
