All the vials contain is a matter of light, photography in one form or another. I explore the substance and materiality of the image, creating abstract yet connotative forms that can sometimes evoke space-like landscapes, sea-wrecks, phantom objects.

47 glass vials, water, silver chloride (AgCl), developer, acetic acid, sodium carbonate, silver nitrate (AgNO3), silver halides (AgX), ammonium thiosulfate ([NH4]2S2O3), polaroid emulsion, strontium aluminate (SrAl), hydrogen silsesquioxane.

The project consists of a series of vials containing several materials derived in one way or another from photography. Whether it's different types of emulsion, photosensitive matter, darkroom chemistry: everything is experimentally mixed, seeking to provoke reactions, shapes, textures. Following what I like to call photographic sustainability, every chemical substance and every sensitive material that ends between my hands is never wasted, it becomes part of a never ending, over-recycled image. By delving into chemical phenomena, I aim to engage the viewer in a perceptual experience.

The vials act as a reflective return to the medium; I reject the notion of framing and figuration. They are a hybrid object between spectral image and experimental artifact. It is a photoscenic device: the installation is neither a staged freeze in plasticity nor a performance that concludes in ephemeral dynamics.

The artwork remains a living process open to infinite reconfigurations.
