Petrolio - PhMuseum

In this project I tried to re-construct the last novel of Pier Paolo Pasolini, Petrolio, in a very personal and evocative way.

Petrolio for me is a determining source of words to be transformed into images. Adherence to the text will not, however, be total. I will use words, but never complete sentences or entire chapters to be reproduced literally: a word, or two, a concept that I will try to recreate visually, according to my own poetics. It is very important to keep the poet as a reference, but it is also important to look for a new interpretation, obviously without distorting the intent of the manuscript: that is to make a profound and painful criticism of his society and consequently of our time.
