This series translates social "islands" into tactile textures. By focusing on the human reach against physical barriers, I visualize integration as a visceral act where the wall itself becomes a place of connection and new mental horizons.

John Donne famously wrote, "No man is an island," yet today we are building walls instead of bridges. Living in the hills and working in the city, I feel this "fine line" on my skin—the tension between where we belong and where we are kept out.

I use my camera as a sketchbook to translate these invisible boundaries into textures: metal grids, weathered wood, and cracked earth. Instead of traditional portraits, I focus on the point of contact. Whether it’s a gaze through a steel mesh or a hand reaching through a stone wall, these images show the physical struggle to connect.

By obscuring the figure and focusing on the "reach," I want to question the walls we build around ourselves. These photos invite the viewer to look through the cracks, turning a barrier into a place where we might finally find each other.
