Out of the Blue

Out of the Blue explores how attention allow moments of wonder and ambiguity to be recognized, shaping our perception and uncovering new meanings. The work invites a slower, more attentive way of seeing in a world defined by constant stimuli.

Our lives are shaped by events and encounters that lead us to this very moment. What are the invisible forces that guide and connect us, and how do the personal meet the universal?

-

There was a time when the world itself invited moments of silence. It was enough to lift our gaze, and a sign, a figure, a symbol appeared - something that reached beyond the everyday. They offered orientation, guidance, or at least a brief suspension in the flow of time. They were present even when we were not looking for them.

Today, the world has become louder, faster, demanding. Our attention rarely lingers; everything urges us forward, everything calls for immediate response. In this constant motion, the question arises: do we still have the possibility to get guidance, to notice what’s really there and to connect?

Perhaps the possibility has not vanished, but transformed. It no longer appears before us, we have to seek it. It no longer stops us, we must choose to stop ourselves.

The question is no longer simply whether these encounters are still in the world, but whether we are able to recognize them. Attention today may be a form of resistance, a conscious decision to take a different view on the world.

Out of the Blue focuses on this form of attention - on how presence and openness allow new forms of understanding and connection to emerge.
