Notting Hill Carnival: 2025

This set of images showcase my documentation of the 2025 Notting Hill carnival in London, a celebration of Afro-Caribbean culture.

With this set of images I attempt to translate the energy, chaos and senses of the Notting Hill Carnival. It began over 60 years ago as a celebration of Caribbean roots and Black British heritage, but in recent years has built a reputation of danger and crime. With these images I wanted to curtail this concept, and also I felt it important to document this event in the wake of the racist rhetoric currently flooding the UK, after all, England is and always has been a melting pot.
