Documentary work from Arctic and subarctic Alaska; focused on Indigenous communities and the land they depend on.

Northern Stories covers years work made in Indigenous communities and ecosystems across Arctic and subarctic Alaska, where land, food, and culture are interdependent.

For Bloomberg Businessweek (2025), I photographed Kobuk River communities in winter along the route of the proposed Ambler Road, an industrial road that would cross the southern Brooks Range to reach copper deposits.

Smokehouse Collective (2023), published in High Country News and funded by a Climate Futures grant, follows an Alaska Native mutual aid network that harvests, preserves, and redistributes traditional foods as a response to climate change.

For the Imago Initiative (2021–2024), commissioned by The Wilderness Society, I photographed Iñupiat and Gwich'in relationships with the lands of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The images were used in national campaigns to protect the Refuge from drilling.
