I will not stop loving you - It took 5 years for my mum to slowly disappear not physically but mentally. I took photos of her when I could when I was visiting my parents. Slowly she didn’t recognize me then didn’t remember anything.

Pamela is my mother and she has alzeihmers .her memory started fading 10 years ago.now we her loved ones are shadows .she looks at us with vacant eyes.her last whole sentence to me was " are you looking for a friend too?",while waiting for the boat to take us across the Thames .the photos were taken in different moments of pamela in isolation or disorientation. They are printed on photografic paper and tracing paper with faded colours .the tracing paper sits on the photo paper creating a foggy effect just like a vague memory .if lifted or blown the image underneath is clearer
