For several years until his death from Dementia in early 2022, I was one of my grandfather’s caretakers. "Myrtle Vista" explores the relationship between my grandfather and I, his life, and my paternal grandparents' home; before and after his death.

For several years until his death from Dementia in early 2022, I was one of my grandfather’s caretakers. "Myrtle Vista" (2021-) explores the relationship between my grandfather and I, his life, and the home; before and after his death. For this series, my paternal grandparents' house has been an archive I have been combing through. The project is a visual portrayal of memory and absence that chronicles the loss of a beloved patriarch; ending with the eventual sale of my paternal grandparents’ home in the fall of 2024.

As of late, I have been creating images in the storage unit that currently houses the belongings from my grandparents’ home.

The project utilizes a mix of analog (35mm, 120mm, and 4" x 5") and digital photography.
