The story is about Love, Sex and Relationships. I took pictures and made video interviews.

‘Love, Sex and Relationships’ is a series of portraits and videos, which include questions to myself, to couples and to individuals who are, or were, in ‘Love, Sex and Relationships’.

Traditionally, a photographer will search for telling images of his or her subject.

My approach has been, rather, to find out how the subjects of my project might portray themselves — who am I to do it?

I wanted to explore what it is like for others to be in a relationship.

What is Love? What is Sex? What is a Relationship?

Do you love yourself?Are we free within ourselves?

This project began in July 2015, while I was in a nine month, abusive relationship. I didn’t love myself. I used the process as a therapeutic tool, that helped me to understand that what I was missing was, indeed, self-love.

I interviewed each individual or couple, and made video and sound recordings of our conversations — in which I asked them the same questions, collecting more than 40 hours of conversations and pictures. I was there to listen.
