Love, Double Love

I’ve crafted three realms of surrealism: tangible space, a surreal intersection with reality, and expansive virtual space. In "Love, Double Love," I layer virtual transformations, challenging traditional photography and offering fresh perspectives.

After nearly a decade of exploration, I’ve crafted three distinct realms of surrealism in my imagery: tangible real space, a surreal space that intersects with reality, and expansive virtual space. This evolution prompts me to rethink the definition of space—once defined by the XY axis, it now resembles a flat wormhole. Perhaps in the future, all physical objects will be replaced by virtual matter.

In "Love, Double Love," I exemplify this conceptual space through the layering of space and objects via continuous virtual overlap and transformation. When printed matter and the objects that become printed matter intersect, a nuanced spatial experience emerges, reminiscent of still life. This artwork compresses visual perception and challenges traditional notions of perspective in photography.

Ultimately, if photography’s mission is to capture the defining images of our era, many contemporary photographers find themselves caught in repetitive cycles. I strive to offer a refreshing perspective on sustaining innovative expectations for the medium.
