Diario de Ausencias, is an ongoing project, initiated in 2018, where the domestic and the intimate become spaces to question how memory is shaped by what remains and by what withdraws, through the politics of the private sphere.

Over the years, I sporadically began capturing images of moments and subjects that drew my attention, initially without the intention of shaping a visual diary. These fragments remained lost in my archives until, through repeated revisitations, a recurring tension emerged: the interplay between absence and presence. Approaching the material in a non-linear manner, I allowed the images to guide me, shaping an editing process that unfolded through pairings, sequences, collages, and other interventions.

Diario de Ausencias has since evolved into an ongoing project, initiated in 2018, where the domestic and the intimate become spaces to question how memory is shaped by what remains and by what withdraws. Within these everyday moments, absence operates not only as a formal element but as a subtle gesture pointing to what is silenced, displaced, or rendered invisible in the private sphere. Each image suggest that presence is never complete without recognizing its counterpart. The project continues, tracing a diary that will only conclude once it is entirely filled with absences.
