Looking Forward, Looking Through...Future Perfect

looking forward, looking through … future perfect

Lisa Stonham’s artworks capture the temporary, ephemeral

and momentary through immovable man-made landscapes.

Exploring the ever evolving relationship between light and

time in the context of architectural space, to produce sensory

and evocative colour field photographs.

Luminescent gestures carry the viewer into these geometric

compositions, inviting them to seek out anchor points between

translucent layers of light and colour. Chromatic arrangements

are subjective, echoing the colour perception of meditation

and memory.

The scale and context is continually fluid, yet familiar. Literal

interior forms and architectural textures hint at the tangible

but points of reference are forever elusive, lost in these light infused

reveries.
