Light is a visual project reflecting on destroyed homes through objects left by war. Rubble, hanging wires, and twisted steel become silent witnesses, while light remains as a final presence, quietly refusing defeat.
“Light”
is a visual narrative project by photojournalist and visual artist Aseel Swaid.
It documents the memory of destroyed houses and observes objects taking over what humans caused and failed to complete.
Homes leaning on the rubble of other homes, electric wires hanging like they have taken their own lives after the war exhausted them, and twisted steel standing as a witness to what happened.
A few colors survive the ashes — not to declare victory, but to refuse defeat.
Here, amid the wreckage, light is the last to leave.
