A young man exploring his family lineage through four generations of men shaped by labor, faith, and survival, and him using photography to reflect on how identity is inherited, transformed, and carried forward through time.
The story begins with his great-grandfather, who worked physically in demanding labor and farming, building a foundation of endurance and work ethic. It then moves to his grandfather, who became a priest, shifting the family path toward spirituality, teaching, and service to the community. The journey continues with his father, whose life has moved across multiple roles including teaching, factory work, entrepreneurship, and eventually returning to the church as a priest, reflecting a constant negotiation between responsibility, faith, and economic survival.
Through photography, the young man documents these layers of history as both an observer and an inheritor. The work becomes a visual reflection on how each generation carries forward parts of the previous one while also reshaping their own path. It is about understanding where one comes from, what is inherited, and how identity is built through both continuity and change.
This is not only a family archive, but also a personal search for meaning within lineage, masculinity, and legacy.
