We have more control over how we experience life and construct meaning than we often realize. Through my work, I aim to challenge our default ways of processing and engaging with the world.

Growing up cutting lawns, building skate ramps, and working as a landscaper, I developed a natural connection to hardware stores and the functional objects they contain. That connection resurfaced last winter, when cold weather pushed me indoors and led me to reexamine these spaces and my relationship with the pragmatic tools they offer—prompting me to reconsider their intended uses.
During that time, I began recontextualizing familiar items using paint swatch titles as a way to shift meaning and open up new interpretations. By altering how these tools are seen and understood, I explore how both objects and beliefs can be repurposed. My work bridges the space between utility and artistic inquiry, offering a framework for rethinking the everyday and questioning what we assume to be fixed or known.
