KOMM NÄHER (Come Closer)

Come closer. Have no fear. Look – this is my room, dark and warm. Nothing can harm you here. This is where we want to creep away, hide from the world. No one is watching, no one will find you. Breathe deeper. Sink slower.

KOMM NÄHER (Come Closer) is a meditation on closeness and distance. A dark and poetic aesthetic weaves together portraits of family members and strangers with glimpses of interiors, houses, and gardens. Seemingly contradictory elements – beauty and ugliness, reality and hallucination, trust and unease – flow together in this quiet universe, where the thin line between the everyday and the uncanny seems ready to dissolve.
