A strange twist in view of the fact that we ourselves are part of it. Strange encounters with and in nature - to invoke the separation described at the beginning - form the thematic focus of Kostas Maros' photographic series. It documents the relationship between man and nature from the perspective of a silent observer. Nevertheless, the various scenes have a peculiar theatricality. Preoccupied with themselves and their surroundings, turned towards and away from each other, the people depicted sometimes appear strangely staged, as if they were following stage directions against a backdrop into which the landscape has been transformed.
