How Far Is Too Close to the Heart?

Some of these people are complete strangers, some are the people closest to my heart. Some of these people come from a culture completely different from mine, some of these people grew up in my same background. Some of these people have nothing to share with me apart from our human nature, some of these people are motivated by my own values. But can we really tell the difference, when we are this close? Does any difference really matter, when it comes to empathy and human connection?

This project is an experiment on how close we can feel to people at different levels of similarity to us, an experiment on how instinctive physical human connection can be as opposed to elective and mental. In all of these cases, the main point is mental presence and a willingness to merge, be it with nature or with another human.
