Returning to the Isle of Skye, I arrive not as visitor but witness. My figures endure in ruins, reshaped by rain, moss and wind. What began as installation becomes ecosystem — time collaborating, the land claiming the work as its own.
HOMECOMING
Each time I return to the Isle of Skye, I don’t arrive as a visitor. I come back as a witness.
In the ruins my figures continue living without me.
Rain reshapes them. Moss claims them. Wind edits them.
Time collaborates.
What began as a carefully placed installation becomes an ecosystem — a threshold where past and present meet. The ruin remembers. Nature speaks. I simply observe and listen.
Homecoming, for me, is not about returning unchanged.
It is about meeting what has changed — and accepting that the work now belongs as much to the land as to the artist.
