In the 'Post-Digital era,' art meets AI. 'Heartbeat of AI' uses AI-generated images made tangible via collages, revealing unseen emotions. The project bridges AI's capabilities with human intuition, unveiling unique perspectives on this project.

In today's rapidly changing world, art is evolving alongside technological developments. We are now in the 'Post-Digital era,' where digital technology is deeply ingrained in society. This has prompted artists to ask more profound questions, enriching the meaning of media the artists use. Hence, image-based media no longer merely depict reality, thanks to 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI), a tool trained on vast datasets that can generate limitless images based on text prompts. Among so many questions raised by the invasive digital environment, I aim to discover what lets me delve deeper into technology, and believe it’s artist's unique touch - experiences, intuition, and instincts. My approach involves conversing with AI for this project.

To explore this synergy, I've devised a multi-stage process for 'a not new, but new encounter.' I initiate it by feeding AI text prompts to get images, which still exist in a digital realm. Next, I print the photographs to transport the pictures from digital to the real world. Then, I create handmade collages with the prints, guided by my aesthetic sense and intuition built from my past experiences. These tactile collages are then photographed, translating them back into the digital frame.

Contrasting my previous methodology, where I hinged on real photographs or existing images, this project harnesses AI-generated images from a virtual space. The beginning of both processes yields distinct outcomes. While AI collects data to create images, I draw inspiration from my photo archives. I then relay these concepts in text, aiming for the AI to reproduce my vision. Yet, the process isn't flawless. Whether due to ‘human error’ like typos or ‘technological glitches’, sometimes the output diverges from my imagined image. These 'errors' can be innovative stimuli, making the AI-text interaction pivotal. Additionally, despite human limitations in photography, AI's inexhaustible potential creates endless images beyond space-time, presenting both challenges and opportunities in this series.

'Heartbeat of AI' showcases the spectrum from AI's vast capabilities to human and tech errors. The transformation of AI images from digital to tangible, combined with my unique vision and AI's style, uncovers previously unseen emotions and perspectives. Whether viewed as framed photos, 3D collages, digital images, or printed books, the audience will experience a new and unique atmosphere and outlook shaped by each stage of the artworks' journey.
