I started photographing my daughters without knowing where these images would lead. Over time, they became a way of holding on to what was changing.

Fireflies and Berries unfolds through fragments of childhood, everyday moments, gestures, changing seasons, laughter and tears. The images grew from daily life, following what happens and what briefly surfaces before disappearing.

At the heart of the series are my three daughters, Aleksandra, Anastasia, and Ava, photographed as they grow from ages five to ten. I watch them with wonder, attentive to fleeting moments and transformations that accompany the passing of time.

The photographs form a fragmented narrative, moving between memory and the present, between childhood's lightness and its more uncertain moments. Their drawings appear throughout the series, responding to the images and becoming part of the narrative.

I have feelings for colors.

I have spiders in my hair.

What does it mean to sleep forever?

My punishment is to stay alone for an hour.

I wish you didn't have to work anymore.

I demand a different family!

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
