Feminist Protest for women’s rights/08/03/2020 CDMX

On March 8th 2020, a massive and peaceful women's protest took place in Mexico City. I assisted not only as a photographer who seeks to capture the best and most shocking images, but also as a woman who identifies with the suffering and injustice that has been going on for a very long time in our Mexican society. This situation has become one of the most urgent issues that needs to be addressed during this government's agenda.

The silent scream of thousands of women that every day suffer all sorts of abuse like rape, kidnapping, feminicide and sex exploitation, only to mention a few, were spitten out in a loud scream of dispair and frustration. “Ni una mas!!”.

(“No more, not a single one”)

I’ve been photographing events that capture my interest in human rights, but this protest in particular left me speechless and touched forever.
