The project Erased Scenes of Odyssey is inspired by Homer’s Odyssey and explores the significance of the journey and the return, as well as the role that memory plays in these. All the images are original prints, engraved by hand.
The project Erased Scenes of Odyssey attempts to capture the oblivion of a symbolic Odysseus through landscape images related to his journey.
It involves photographs, engraved and hand-edited, which are intended to alter and deconstruct the original image / remembrance and recreate landscapes where memory is replaced by a sense of disorientation and distortion.
This raises the question of what the meaning of the journey, the return, the landscape and the self is when memory is lost.
