El Paisaje Inefable (The Ineffable Landscape)

Through screen-printed in-camera abstractions of the world, the works transcend their physical forms. They no longer serve as faithful renderings of the tangible objects they came from, but emerge as entirely new energies.

This body of work is my humble attempt to delve into the spiritual abyss ––the quiet spaces between words and emotions that elude logical understanding. It is a meeting point between the seen and the unseen. In The Ineffable Landscape, colors become my muses, and light becomes the translator for the words I cannot find. 

What does the energy of complete stillness feel like? Does it have a sound? A Texture? Does it move like flowing water or roar like TV static? Are they all one and the same? I search for myself in the spaces where dreaming and wakefulness coexist —wanting to engage in a clamorous dialogue with silence itself, listening to the wind’s whispers and feeling the caress of light. 

By creating in-camera abstractions of the world ––and further transforming them through the screen printing process–– these pieces transcend their original physical forms. They no longer serve as faithful renderings of the tangible objects they stemmed from but emerge as entirely new energies.
