Demo 5 is an ongoing photographic project composed of five works, exploring early-morning Paris through architectural symmetry and central perspective. The series observes moments of urban stillness, approaching the city as a spatial structure rather than a narrative scene. Each image isolates a precise moment when Paris appears temporarily suspended, before daily movement resumes.

Frozen Silence, the first completed work, captures a moment along the Seine where reflections, symmetry, and darkness momentarily halt the city’s rhythm. The image presents Paris as a silent structure, existing briefly outside of time.

Threshold, photographed on the same bridge shortly after, shifts perspective while remaining within the same temporal window. Seen from the opposite direction, the architecture emerges faintly at the center of the frame, marking a quiet passage between night and morning. The work emphasizes transition rather than destination, holding the city in a state of calm anticipation.

Rational Love, photographed at the Louvre in the early morning, centers on architectural balance and controlled illumination. The pyramid and surrounding structures appear detached from spectacle, revealing a restrained dialogue between geometry, order, and emotion. The image reflects a form of affection shaped by reason, symmetry, and distance.

Green Axis, photographed at Place Vendôme, centers on the green-patinated Colonne Vendôme, surrounded by the square’s jewelry houses and anchored by the Ministry of Justice in the background. The column functions as a vertical axis around which power, capital, and history silently converge, rendered calm and neutral by the early hour.

The final work of Demo 5 is currently in progress and will complete the five-part structure of the series.
