As food and drink became the main things to look forward to, especially during the early days of Covid-19 and Quarantine, I challenged myself to create characters to entertain friends online. The dining room table in an otherwise messy and well worked-in house became the focus to create characters and imagine what those personas might eat or drink. Some are influenced by events happing at the time representing political and social events and others reached back in time to reflect on those events. Using humor to deal with difficult situations allowed a way for me process the emotions that were otherwise distressing.
