Carne

Carne is a project about the distorted view I have of my body.

It consists of 27 self-portraits and three texts connected to the progression of the photos.I tried to deform my image until a progressive detachment of it. I used mixed techniques such as reflective paper or directly scratching and burning the films. The project was made with 35 mm and polaroid films.

I wish I could be kinder to myself,

Then I look at myself and feel my body overflowing from the edges,

Overflowing from the ideal boundaries.

I wish you wouldn't look at me while I'm
