A photographic project about children, playground structures, and the way public space fragments, frames, and reshapes the body through color, movement, and chance.
Bodies in Play is an ongoing photographic project about children and the colorful architecture of public playgrounds. I am interested in the way these structures fragment, frame, and reshape the body, turning ordinary moments of play into strange and layered visual experiences. Transparent tubes, plastic shells, ladders, and slides divide movement and isolate gestures, so that children appear stretched, hidden, or reassembled in unexpected forms. Made in contemporary urban China, the series explores play as both freedom and containment, and the body as something constantly reorganized by the spaces it enters.
