Blooming In Place

‘Blooming In Place’ is an evolving study of the creation of safe space, the importance of individuality, and the resilience of community.

The power of feminine and nonbinary artists, their creativity, and sexuality offer answer to the assumption of male dominance and the adverse societal influence of binary or categorical presumption.

From the book of Genesis, to the teachings of St Francis de Sales and forward; we are invited ‘to bloom in the garden where he has planted… to radiate the beauty and spread the fragrance of his providence.’  Taking a non-denominational approach to the study of community growth and artistry across practices; ‘Blooming In Place’ seeks to fully embrace the joy of life, uniqueness of being, and the arts.

Playing with photographs intersecting video; my goal is to fill the frame with magic to tip our thoughts outward. I experiment across, and test the possibilities of various mediums; so this photographic study will continue to involve more than one sort of ‘camera.’  My life experience crosses from plants to people, with photography in between. I value the junctions of practices, and harbor a fascination of where still meets motion, individuals meet community, and healthful growth perpetuates globally. Together we must seek the knowledge to connect us across our human constructed borders, and thereby save the whole earth. In my studies, much value is placed on the lessons from our ancestors, our connection to the earth, and each other. I hope as earthlings we work together to allow for future generations to follow us, healthfully.  Here on earth we all live; may together we grow.
