A visual bridge between Gaza and Naples through the daily lives of two girls. A parallel photographic narrative revealing how childhood unfolds under siege and in safety.
Between Gaza and Naples is a photographic reportage that tells, through parallel visual diptychs, the everyday lives of two girls: Soso, in Gaza, and Dede, in Naples.
The project builds a visual and ethical bridge between two seemingly opposite childhoods, revealing how the simplest gestures — brushing teeth, going to school, playing — acquire profoundly different meanings in contexts of peace and in contexts of war.
The work has been published by Collater.al, Social Documentary Network, Photojournalism Hub, and EU Reporter, and was presented at the UNICEF Photo Award.
This project is both a cultural initiative and a political act — a way to give voice, visibility, and tangible support to a photographer documenting daily life under siege.
