The goal is a common identity, a common understanding, through common behavior, the same daily human needs, anxieties, and aspirations.
Balkans (Turkish word balkan = mountain or high forested mountain range.)
Daily colored pictures- photos at dinner, during prayer, at relaxation, or at work or in the park with mom. They could be photos from the same village or the same city. But these are photos from seven different countries as the island of Lesvos in Greece, Lake Ochrid in North Macedonia, capital city Ljubljana in Slovenia, cities of Trabzon and Amasya in Turkey, the coastal city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, the small provincial town of Guca in Serbia and Bucovina Brasov and Iasi in Romania. Historically, the Balkans are considered to be a volatile region, and the latest – and hopefully the last – conflicts in the region occurred at the turn of the 21st century, in the wake of the break-up of Yugoslavia. The current situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the issues of Kosovo and the name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia all result from the break-up of Yugoslavia.
The goal is a common identity, a common understanding, through common behavior, the same daily human needs, anxieties, and aspirations. I like traveling, I also really like the Balkans. For several years I have been trying to broaden my horizons by taking a walk in a Balkan country whenever I can. The project is in progress.
