The project "Atemporale" (Timelessness) represents a dream about the timelessness of earth - the rocks, the sea and the hills - and the inner bond we hold with nature.

“I do an awful lot of dreaming about things in the past and the future - the timelessness of the rocks and the hills - all the people who have existed there. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.” - Andrew Wyeth

The images are taken in the volcanic islands of Stromboli (Italy), Lanzarote (Spain) and Milos (Greece). We can perceive the fine line between the quiet inhabitation of people and the overwhelming and ever-present force of the volcano, in an alternance between a quiet meditation on the beauty of the landscape and a sort of scary feeling of the mystical force of nature. Something can happen in a moment, but everything is in a perfect equilibrium.

In a suspension of time as in a dream, the images portrait the rocks and the hills, life and death, fragments of people, but we can never see a person in face. With a broad view, the photographs show that people are a sort of additions to the rough landscape and they complete it, while remains to the eye the greatness of nature, which is timelessness.
