Art Book Rising Waters

The increasing sea level creates many problems that threaten many countries and islands. People are losing their homes while other societies see their entire island disappear.

This artbook is a visual experience in which more than 60 photos and 100+ pages are displayed.

There are three series that were made between 2019 and 2022. The high sea level and with it climate change create many problems that threaten many countries and islands. People are losing their homes and places to live while other societies see their entire island slowly submerged under water. Governments and administrators hardly talk about climate change, it is a painful subject for people who already have to pay the consequences.

I have brought together three different series in my photo book “Rising Water”. The first series focuses on the Pacific Ocean, where islands such as Tuvalu, Kiribati and Fuji already have major problems with the high sea level. The second series is about Bangladesh, which is increasingly ravaged by flooding. The third series is about the Dutch Wadden. The Wadden area will disappear in the next 30 years if we don't change anything.

I hope that the spherical images in conjunction with the urgent message will inspire many. Finally, I would like to thank Melanie Prapopoulos (owner The CAMP Gallery Miami) for writing the intro, all the models I worked with and DMA.
