In Casablanca, I photograph teenagers who dance and rap, imagining their futures. Between the urge to leave and the pull of home, their bodies reveal the fragile energy of a generation searching for possibility.

I turn to the teenagers of Casablanca, a generation that dances, dreams, and tries to invent its future. In the streets, cafés, and cultural centers like l’Uzine, they gather to rap, create, and exist. I observe their gestures, listen to their stories, and photograph their energy and their wanderings.

Some dream of leaving, without having the means to do so. Others no longer truly dream—they wait. Between the desire to go elsewhere and a deep attachment to the city, their bodies express hope, doubt, and uncertainty. By photographing them, I also search for the echo of a past I do not know, imagining the teenager my father once was in this same city.
