Wak’a is a journey that attempts to portray the supernatural forces that manifest at the spot where Manquehue Hill and Mapocho river touch, in Santiago de Chile; establishing a sacred space, a point of power and connection with my ancestors.

Wak'a is an artist’s book held in the Harvard University Fine Arts Library, The Fleet at Rhode Island School of Design, the Baylor Book Arts Collection and the University of Miami Special Collections, among many other libraries like Casa Espacio Buenos Aires in Valparaíso, Chile, Carlos Fuentes in Braga, Portugal and TURMA in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The book is a journey of observation through the territory I inhabit—its external, internal, and cosmic dimensions. It seeks to capture the supernatural forces present in Santiago de Chile, particularly where Cerro Manquehue and the Mapocho River touch each other manifesting a sacred site: a gathering point of power, energy, and a conduit linking me with the ancestors who lived here before.

Wak’a aims to make the sacred tangible through photographs, rituals, and psychomagical actions collected within its pages.
