The images embody the concepts of belonging and birth through the dichotomy between humanity and nature: female figures in dialogue with earthly elements suggest a vision of life and death in relation to place, emphasizing their timeless universality.
In the Penùmbra, time takes on an autonomous dimension—akin to a fifth dimension—linked to collective memory and ancestral roots. Her black-and-white images evoke cave paintings and primordial symbols, blending the contemporary with our origins. The artist reflects on the relationship between humanity and the earth through ruins, cracks, and marks that speak of disintegration and rebirth. Elements from diverse cultures, such as the Eastern concept of “wu wei,” coexist harmoniously, suggesting instinctiveness and authenticity. The female figures engage in a dialogue with nature, evoking birth and belonging within a timeless vision of life and death. Penùmbra is an invitation to contemplation and to the rediscovery of the human essence through profound and universal memories.
