About the Vanishing Glaciers by Saha Kim

This photobook documents glaciers photographed in Argentina in 2018 and Iceland in 2022—vast landscapes that are now disappearing under the accelerating effects of climate change.

Each year, hundreds of billions of tons of glacial ice melt away, quietly transforming the surface of our planet. Standing before these immense and shimmering formations, the artist reflects on the fragile balance between nature and human existence. What once seemed timeless and eternal now reveals its vulnerability.

The photographs capture moments of stillness, scale, and silence, inviting viewers to witness landscapes that may soon vanish from the world.
