A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day593【Abyss】
Even at the bottom of darkness, there is still a color without a name.
DEAR naozo,
What
Is there
That is what
I would ask
People
Give names
To what
They can see
Light
Becomes light
Darkness
Becomes darkness
And
The moment
We name
Something
We begin
To believe
We understand it
Yet
Sometimes
I wonder
Whether
Something
Still unnamed
Exists
Within us
The deeper
We descend
The farther
The light becomes
Outlines disappear
And even
What seemed certain
Begins to blur
There
May be
Something
We have shown
To no one
Something
Even we
Have never known
It may be
Fear
It may be
Desire
Or perhaps
It is
A part of ourselves
That has not yet
Become words
I believe
The abyss
Is not
Merely
A place of darkness
It is
The depth
That leads
To the bottom
Of oneself
We do not
Need to know
What lies there
Yet
It does not
Need a name
Even at
The bottom
Of darkness
There is still
A color
Without a name
Until
You find it
You will never know
How deep
You are
What do you think
