A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day587【Cycle】
DEAR naozo,
What
Has ended
That is what
I would ask
People
Often believe
What leaves
Is something
They have
Lost
They mourn
Endings
And long
Only for
Beginnings
Yet
Sometimes
I wonder
Whether
What leaves
And what
Arrives
Are not
Separate things
But
Part of
The same
Current
A wave
Does not
Recede
To end
It moves away
To return
Another wave
Will also
One day
Recede
That endless
Rhythm
Is what
Makes
The sea
The sea
People
Are no
Different
Life
Is not
Only joy
Nor
Only sorrow
I believe
To cycle
Is not
Simply
To repeat
It is
To continue
While
Becoming
Something new
So
Do not
Be afraid
What leaves
And what
Arrives
Are both
Part of
The same
Sea
What do you think

This story is a work of fiction. Except for the named individuals, all elements are products of imagination. The boundary between reality and fiction is intentionally ambiguous, and its interpretation is left to the reader.
