A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day538【Room】
DEAR naozo,
Are you right
Or wrong
Which
will you choose
People
Want answers
Black or white
Good or evil
Victory or defeat
Ambiguity
Creates unease
So people hurry
Toward conclusions
But
Is that truly so
Sometimes
I wonder
Whether what closes a person
Is not ignorance
But the certainty
that they already understand
The moment we believe
we know
We stop seeing
Stop listening
Stop thinking
Is that completion
I do not think so
People move forward
Because they remain unfinished
Room
Is not lack
Nor defeat
It is leaving a door open
For what is not yet known
Have focus
But do not cling
Believe
But do not worship
Decide
But do not assume
That room
Makes people gentler
And stronger
I do not fear
Those who hesitate
I fear
Those who believe
They have nothing left
to learn
So
Do not close yourself
Do not believe
the story is finished
Beyond that room
There may still be
A landscape
you have never seen
What do you think
from NZ
This story is a work of fiction. Except for the named individuals, all elements are products of imagination. The boundary between reality and fiction is intentionally ambiguous, and its interpretation is left to the reader.
