A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day536【Silhouette】
DEAR naozo,
Can you see it
Or not
Which
do you think
People
See a shape
Learn a name
Learn a history
And believe
They understand
a person
But
Is that truly so
Backlight at dusk
Takes away details
Takes away color
Takes away expression
And yet
We still know
Someone is there
Is a silhouette
A hidden self
Or
A distilled essence
I do not know
But
People too
Sometimes gain
their outline
Through loss
They lose excuses
Lose pride
Lose borrowed words
And what remains
May be
Their silhouette
You do not need
To explain everything
Or reveal everything
You do not need
To be understood
You only need
To be
A silhouette
Does not speak
And yet
Its presence
remains undeniable
What will you hide
And what will remain
What do you think
from NZ
