Or not

Which

do you think

People wish

To understand

They seek answers

Reasons

Meaning

But

Must everything

Be understood

Sometimes

I wonder

Perhaps people

Do not accept things

Because they understand them

Perhaps understanding begins

Only after acceptance

What was lost

What never arrived

What could not be changed

All of it

Can be explained

But

Explanation

And acceptance

Are not the same

The mind may agree

While the heart does not

So

People take time

Not to forget

Nor simply to accept

But to find

A place within themselves

For what remains

After focus

What did you understand

And

What did you accept

I do not know

But

Perhaps acceptance

Is not reaching an answer

But learning

To live beside the question
